Blockstream Local Meetup on Isle of Youth
The second Blockstream Local Meetup was held in Cuba, on the Isle of Youth, led by Bitalion and jointly organized by Cuba Bitcoin and La Isla BTC.
The meetup was facilitated by Bitalion and focused on self-custody, hardware wallet usage, and Blockstream ecosystem tools such as Jade, Green Wallet, and Liquid.
2025 - APRIL 25, 26 & 27
Second edition of Trezor Academy in Cuba
The second edition of Trezor Academy was held on the Isle of Youth with the La Isla BTC community.
In this edition, 8 students of various ages graduated.
The course was taught by Bitalion, instructor and co-founder of Cuba Bitcoin, and jointly organized by Cuba Bitcoin and BTCLN.

Cuba Bitcoin Cashu Mint Launch
The Cuba Bitcoin Cashu Mint was launched, available at mint.cubabitcoin.org, as a solution to the constant power and internet outages the country faces, enabling offline Bitcoin payments while preserving user privacy.

First Bitcoin Made Easy Course Graduation
The graduation of the first edition of the Bitcoin Made Easy course was held.
This edition included students from Bolivia, Cuba, Spain, and Germany, consolidating the international nature of the course.

The Cuban BTCPay Server instance was launched at btcpay.cubabitcoin.org, providing businesses and users the ability to accept Bitcoin payments in a free and sovereign way, enabling easy integration for both physical and online stores.

First Bitcoin Made Easy class at Bitcoin Berlin
The first class of the Bitcoin Made Easy course was held at Bitcoin Berlin headquarters in El Salvador, marking a milestone in the international expansion of the educational program created by Cuba Bitcoin.

Cuba Bitcoin LNbits Instance Launch
The public LNbits instance was officially launched at lnbits.cubabitcoin.org, running on Cuba Bitcoin's own node.
This service was created as a tool for the community, offering greater sovereignty and autonomy in using the Lightning Network in Cuba.
It allows anyone to create wallets, receive payments, and use extensions.

"Bitcoin Made Easy" Course Launch
The Bitcoin Made Easy educational program was officially launched, designed by the Cuba Bitcoin team to teach Bitcoin fundamentals in a clear and accessible way.
The course is aimed at people without technical knowledge and seeks to empower new users through practical content about financial sovereignty.

Cuba Bitcoin participation at Plan B, El Salvador
Representatives Catrya and Forte11 shared the Cuban experience as speakers at workshops and talks.
2024 - DECEMBER 21
First Blockstream Local in Cuba and final meetup of the year
This event was the last meetup of 2024 organized by Cuba Bitcoin and also the first Blockstream local meetup in Havana, Cuba.
Topics discussed included crypto-asset regulation in Cuba, the use of Jade Wallet, Green Wallet, and the Liquid network.
A meetup that closed the year by strengthening education on self-custody tools and technologies developed by Blockstream.
2024 - DECEMBER 21
First Bitcoin-Only Meetup on Isle of Youth and First Cuban Bitcoin Course Graduation
During the meetup, the 8 graduates of the First Cuban Bitcoin Course participated in a panel sharing reflections inspired by @BTCAndres's tweet: "Things Bitcoin taught me".
The event took place at Bar-Restaurant Villa Choly, Isle of Youth, Cuba.
2024 - NOVEMBER 18
First Basic Cuban Bitcoin Course
Course designed and organized by the Cuba Bitcoin community, aiming to provide financial and technical education about Bitcoin from a Cuban perspective.
It was completely free and consisted of 5 sessions at Bar-Restaurant Villa Choly in Nueva Gerona, Isle of Youth.
Instructor: BTCLNAT (graduate of the fourth edition of the My First Bitcoin Diploma).
2024 - DECEMBER 16
Birth of the La IslaBTC community (Block 870629)
The La Isla BTC community was created to promote in-person Bitcoin education on the Isle of Youth.
It emerged as a Cuba Bitcoin initiative to extend Bitcoin adoption and learning to new territories in the country.

Trezor Academy Event in Sancti Spiritus Province
The event was held on November 16, 23, and 30, where 12 students of various ages graduated.
